On June 2, 2008, President Geng Xuechao, Vice-President Zhou Yanyun and Li Jinsong visited CCNU, and signed the strategic cooperative intention statement with CCNU.

  That morning, Vice-President Zhou Yanyun and Li Jinsong talked with CCNU Vice-president Huang Yonglin, Director Qin Zaidong of the Development Office CCNU, Vice-president Ren Youzhou and Liang Zhiqun of the College of International Cultural Exchange (CICE) CCNU. Both sides have exchanged the opinion honestly and thoroughly on strategic cooperation's intention, content, scope, ways, etc. and achieved the basic mutual recognition. Both sides believed that BICC and CCNU have respective superiority, such as BICC has the wide Chinese international promotion areas and the international market development resources, and CCNU has the rich education experience and Chinese language teaching resources. All efforts within two schools can certainly achieve the goal of complementing each other's strengths, and promote Chinese language & Chinese culture around the globe.

  The signing ceremony was held in the conference room of the 3rd floor of the Administrative Building, CCNU. BICC President Geng Xuechao and CCNU president Ma Min signed the cooperative intention statement. After the signing ceremony, CCNU Secretary Ding Lieyun and President Ma Min hosted a banquet in honor of President Geng Xuechao and BICC leaders. During the banquet, both leaders also further exchanged the opinions on advancing the cooperative project faster & better, and looked forward to yielding substantial results.
