June 23, 2008, the opening ceremony of Seminar for Chinese Teachers from U.S.A was held, 30 Chinese teachers from San Francisco and other cities will take one-month seminar on teaching Chinese as a foreign language at our school.

  Mr. Liu from Silicon Valley Chinese School ,California was on behalf of the participants talked about their expectations for this seminar, introduced the current situation of Chinese teaching in U.S.A, expressed their thanks to our school and Hanban. Ms Wang Guoping who in charge of the Training Programs for Visiting Teachers Project from Teacher Department on behalf of Hanban, introducing the newly published "International standards for Chinese language teachers," the business, new projects charged by Teacher Department. Vice president Qiao Shuping, on behalf of School leaders expressed the welcome to the participants, hoping everyone would know the current situation of Chinese teaching, promote international exchange of Chinese language teaching, wish the seminar success.
