On 29 October 2008, Zhou Xugen, the head of Sino-America International Fund and president of Sino-America Cooperation Center paid a visit to our college. On that day, we reached an agreement on several significant issues, including the training project for top university students from America, the training program for visiting teachers and sending teachers from both parties to teach in legal educational organizations. Both parties vowed to promote the cooperation and communication between China and America and reinforce the friendship between the two countries.
Sino-America International Fund, a non-profit organization in Maryland, eastern America, is mainly engaged in the communication between China and America in the field of culture, economy finance and public welfare。
The cooperation between Sino-America International Fund and our college enables us to integrate the resources of each party and also provides a novel way to carry out further cultural communication projects. In January of 2009 over 200 top American students will accept a six-week Chinese training program in our college which symbolizes our debut cooperation. To enrich their life and study in Chin, we have arranged many interesting lessons, such as calligraphy, Chinese traditional painting, Taichi and traditional music and also lots of colorful social practices like spending Chinese lunar new year’s eve with Chinese families.
